ENO DoubleNest

ENO DoubleNest Review (2026)

19oz, 400 lb capacity, packs to fist size, $70 -- the camping hammock that built the category

The ENO DoubleNest is the hammock I started with nine years ago and still keep in my car camping kit. At $70 and 19oz for a hammock that holds 400 lbs and packs to fist size, it is simply the best value. Durable enough for years of regular use, sets up in two minutes, and accommodates most adults comfortably in a diagonal lay. ENO built this category and the DoubleNest remains the standard.

Field Notes

Nine years, dozens of trips from Georgia to Maine. The 70D nylon survived UV exposure, rain, and one unplanned creek crossing. Only replacement: carabiners (cheap aluminum corroded from Outer Banks salt air). For $70, the longevity is exceptional.

Common Questions

Do ENO hammocks come with straps?
Carabiners included, tree straps are not. Buy ENO Atlas straps or similar 1-inch webbing. Never hang with cord -- use straps at least 1 inch wide for tree safety.
How long do ENO hammocks last?
5 to 10 years with normal care. Avoid extended rigging in direct sun. ENO 10-year warranty covers manufacturing defects with registration.
