Streamlight Siege AA Review (2026)

340 lumens, 3 AA batteries, buy replacements anywhere -- the lantern that never needs a charger

★★★★★
8.3/10
Reviewed by William • Updated May 2026 $45

The Streamlight Siege AA is the lantern for campers who do not want to think about USB cables or battery percentage. Three AA batteries. 340 lumens maximum. Up to 540 hours of runtime. When batteries die at 2am in the Smokies, you buy AAs at the camp store and continue. Glowing base makes it findable in a dark tent. Professional-grade Streamlight construction. Simple, reliable, honest.

Field Notes

Used on a Smokies camping trip deliberately without USB charging. AA batteries lasted the full 4-night trip on medium and low. The glowing base made finding the lantern in the dark tent quick. Red light mode preserved night vision on a late-night walk back from a campfire.

Common Questions

What batteries does the Streamlight Siege use?
3 AA batteries. Use lithium AA for cold weather -- they perform significantly better than alkaline below 25 degrees F. Rechargeable NiMH AAs also work.
