Hestra's Army Leather Heli is the glove people still own ten years later. The impregnated army goat leather breaks in the way good boots do — stiff at first, then molded to your specific hand. The removable liner system lets you swap warmth levels and dry the inside separately, which is the practical advantage over sewn-in insulation. It is a ski glove by design, so the cuff is long and the warmth is aimed at lift-served cold rather than aerobic hiking, but for camp and cold-weather general use it is superb.
