The Q2 is a step up from ceramic-burr grinders in exactly the ways that matter: stainless conical burrs cut rather than crush, grind consistency is visibly more uniform, and the stepped adjustment ring is fine enough to dial in espresso rather than approximate it. It grinds a dose in around 35 seconds, faster than the Porlex despite a similar size. If you carry a Nanopresso, this is the grinder that makes it work. At $110 it is a genuine investment for a camp item.
