Tritium is the reason to buy this. Ordinary luminous paint needs charging from light and fades within an hour or two; tritium gas tubes glow continuously for roughly 25 years without any input at all. Check the time at 3am after a night in a tent and it is simply readable, every time. The Navigator is a Canadian military-issue design at 1.6oz with a fiberglass case, a 24-hour inner track, and 60m water resistance. The case is plastic, which reads as cheap to some buyers and keeps the weight down.
