The Khaki Field Mechanical is a direct descendant of the WWII-era US military field watch, and the hand-wound H-50 movement is the point: no rotor, no battery, an 80-hour reserve, and a daily ritual of winding it. The dial is the archetypal field layout — high contrast, 24-hour inner track, luminous hands — and it is superbly legible. At 38mm it wears small by modern standards, which most people consider correct for a field watch. It is $595 for a watch that does nothing but tell the time very well.
